- Undergraduate degree; advanced degree (JD, MBA or equivalent) preferred
- 3+ years of professional experience on complex problems related to business risk
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity through professional training or professional impact
- Experience or strong interest in due diligence, risk management and compliance
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them, and carry them out independently while being mindful of the big picture
- Capable of raising issues, generating solutions, and working effectively under pressure
- Sensitivity with confidential information and adherence to the highest professional and process standards
- Strong influencing capabilities, including willingness to push back and deliver tough messages to senior audiences, and demonstrated track record of leadership in high-performing teams
- Willingness to travel or work in-person on occasion; ability to work across several time zones, as needed
- Prior experience of conflicts of interest analysis and systems within accounting, financial services or legal sectors highly advantageous
- Ability to engage audience and create clear, logical, and structured communications across all formats, with fluent English proficiency

For new joiners for this role in Canada and/or the United States, including all office locations where the job may be performed, a reasonable estimated range is $112,900 – $176,800 in USD and $125,600 – $157,000 in CAD – to help you understand what you can expect. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest salary for this role at the time of this posting, ensuring you have a clear picture right from the start, though it’s important to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey’s discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
