Primary Purpose |
Reporting to the Title IX Coordinator, the Title IX & Civil Rights Investigator (Investigator) assists in resolving complaints of sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, gender-related violence including stalking and intimate partner violence, protected class discrimination and harassment, and related retaliation involving students, faculty, and staff. Investigations beyond this scope may be assigned, as capacity allows. The incumbent will work closely with leadership to assure that the appropriate campus policies are utilized to conduct investigations. When directed by leadership, the Investigator will conduct a prompt and thorough investigation. The Investigator acts as a neutral party in the investigation and provides a detailed, unbiased report regarding the findings of the investigation. The Investigator will assist with capacity building by training staff and faculty as Co-Investigators. The Investigator also trains students, staff, and faculty in relation to sexual assault, interpersonal violence, stalking, sexual harassment, protected class discrimination and harassment, and related retaliation.

This position serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) as outlined by the Clery Act. CSAs have federally mandated responsibilities to report crimes that are reported to them.

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment. Work performed during standard business hours. May work additional hours outside standard business hours to meet business needs and deadlines. Occasional travel between campuses for meetings as well as conferences expected. Valid driver’s license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University’s fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.

Hiring Range | $85k – $95k per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
