The legal Secretary will deliver comprehensive administrative and client service support to attorneys, ensuring efficient legal practice operations and exceptional client service. This role plays a key part in litigation case management, as well as administrative coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Maintain regular in-office presence to promote collaboration and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate litigation support activities, legal tasks, and administrative projects for attorneys and clients.
- Manage time entry, expense reporting, client billing, meeting scheduling, and matter openings.
- Draft, format, and edit legal documents and correspondence in both English and Spanish.
- File legal documents with courts and government agencies accurately and within deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Document Services, Finance, Practice Support, etc.) across multiple offices.
- Support and monitor client billing, including billing code Application, proofreading, rate adjustments, write-offs, and compliance with billing protocols.
- Maintain organized records in the document management system and ensure best practices in file organization and task tracking.
- Oversee attorneys’ calendars, travel coordination, and daily workflow management.
- Work overtime as needed and assist with firm-wide initiatives or projects.
