- Calculates tax adjustments (permanent and temporary differences) for the financial forecasting and strategic planning for entities and projects.
- Maintains awareness of existing and emerging tax laws, GAAP, and SEC regulations, particularly to how they apply to assigned entities and tasks, including researching and quantifying any impact to the company’s financial statements.
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the industry and the business; and develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders.
- Completes core return schedules, estimated payments, and extensions, applying documented tax methods.
- Prepares journal entries for monthly and quarterly close and supports basic tax account roll forwards.
- Compiles multisource data for provision calculations and validates ties to the general ledger.
- Coordinates routine notice responses and maintains request logs to meet response timelines.
- Performs targeted research on form instructions and filing requirements and summarizes findings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
