The firm seeks a full-time Corporate Legal Assistant to become an integral member of the firm’s highly ranked Investment Management team.  
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE but are not limited to:

  • Taking a team-focused and collaborative approach to: 
    • Support attorneys advising premier private equity clients in connection with the organization of some of the world’s largest and most prestigious funds 
    • Communicate with clients, lawyers, corporate service companies and government agencies on a regular basis
    • Develop a strong practice area knowledge, assist with business development efforts and contribute to general and practice specific trainings
  • Working in a detail-oriented and organized manner to:
    • Prepare, revise and maintain various fund-related documents, including investor subscription documents, securities filings and tax forms
    • Manage entity formation processes and draft, review and organize corporate governance documents
    • Facilitate fund closings, including by maintaining closing checklists and drafting closing notices to investors

REQUIREMENTS:

  • No prior legal or financial experience needed, junior level paralegals seeking a change of law firm or practice area are also encouraged to apply
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic about expanding knowledge of the private equity industry
  • Team-oriented mindset as well as the ability to take ownership of discrete projects
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under time constraints 
  • Interpersonal skills enabling successful and professional communication with clients, attorneys and staff   
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel
  • Willingness to make a two-year commitment to firm, longer tenure welcome
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school
