Job Summary
The Paralegal – Medical Records position is responsible for supporting legal operations through high-volume data entry, medical records management, and administrative support activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information accurately in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate has experience supporting legal or personal injury matters and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume data entry with a high level of accuracy and consistency
- Maintain and organize medical records, legal documentation, and case-related files
- Support legal staff with case documentation and administrative tasks
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications and case management systems to manage records and workflows
- Perform electronic filing and document management activities
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy before processing
- Communicate effectively with internal team members regarding case updates and documentation needs
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and medical information
- Support additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Previous legal, legal litigation, or personal injury experience preferred
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Experience with e-filing and document management processes preferred
- Familiarity with case management systems preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Strong computer proficiency and typing skills
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while using a computer or answering phones
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 10 pounds
- Excellent manual dexterity with the ability to use hands continuously throughout the workday
Work Experience
- Experience in legal support, legal litigation, personal injury, medical records, or administrative data entry environments preferred
- Previous experience handling large volumes of documentation and data processing preferred
