We are seeking one, preferably two, experienced legal Billing Coordinators with strong expertise in Aderant Expert Sierra and Aderant BillBlast. This is an excellent opportunity for billing professionals who thrive in a law firm environment and have a proven track record managing complex legal billing and e-billing processes. The ideal candidate will oversee the full legal invoicing lifecycle, ensuring accurate invoice generation, compliance with Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), successful e-bill submissions, and timely resolution of billing issues to support firm revenue objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, review, edit, and finalize complex legal invoices using Aderant Expert Sierra.
  • Manage split billing arrangements, task-based billing codes, and client-specific billing requirements.
  • Review and process Work in Progress (WIP) to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Utilize Aderant BillBlast to process, track, and submit invoices through various client e-billing platforms.
  • Monitor invoice status and ensure successful electronic submission and acceptance.
  • Review billing entries for compliance with client billing guidelines, budgets, and engagement requirements.
  • Identify and correct issues proactively to minimize invoice reductions and rejections.
  • Monitor BillBlast dashboards and client portals for invoice rejections, short-payments, and disputes.
  • Research, resolve, and appeal billing issues as needed to accelerate collections.
  • Partner with attorneys, legal assistants, and clients to review billing matters, accruals, and invoice details.
  • Provide guidance and support regarding billing policies and client requirements.
  • Track unbilled time and manage aging accounts receivable.
  • Support collections efforts and assist with billing and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
