The Associate Counsel is responsible for providing legal services support and deliverables to the organization.

Essential Job Function

  • Provides legal support on a variety of matters, including corporate and business transactions, physician contracts, patient care issues, privacy and compliance, medical staff matters, and labor and employment issues.
  • Conducts and analyzes legal research in support of operational goals.
  • Review and drafts contracts, leases and other legal documents.
  • Responds trequest for legal advice from cone leaders and peers.
  • Coordinates work with outside counsel as appropriate.

education

  • Required: Completion of a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

experience

  • Experience: 5 years relevant health law experience, with some of this as in-house experience.

Licensure/Certification/Listing

  • REQUIRED Valid Driver’s License | Valid Driver’s LicenseAdmitted to the North Carolina State Bar, or be eligible for admission within a reasonable time.
