Responsibilities:
The Civil Investigator will work closely with Assistant United States Attorneys to investigate trends and leads to develop potential cases and develop a body of evidence that the AUSAs could then use to generate subpoenas, engage with potential defendants, and determine whether to pursue claims. The investigator will also lend support to our existing fraud matters by acting in concert with the assigned agent from the relevant Office of Inspector General (OIG), particularly in large and complex investigations.
* Provides professional investigations and collateral coverage to clarify and/or verify facts in Criminal/Civil/National Security/ investigations, or similar matters.
* Provides expert testimony in court cases/affidavits/Grand Jury and related matters.
* Travels in support of investigations.
* Provides analysis of information and makes intelligence assessments for cognizant investigators.
* Provides written reports/analysis of investigation/intelligence information.
* Must have above average oral communication skills
