This is a full-time, benefit eligible position that is partial remote located in San Diego. Must be local or willing to relocate. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM.

The Document Review Coordinator ensures accurate, regulatory and legally compliant patient health records and requests. Responsibilities include reviewing the comprehensive patient medical record for accuracy and timeliness of documentation in the electronic health record. Prepares and analyzes requested information for internal and external entities. Works closely with medical staff, attorneys and other third party requestors to provide reports. Responsible for validating information in the work queue and making corrections including incomplete documentation, missing information for coding/billing, and timeliness of patient requested information.

Required education/experience/Specialized Skills:
- Experience healthcare/medical office environment to include working with an EHR and/or Release of Patient Information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; innovative with ability to identify and solve problems.
- Able to adapt, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to compile data for internal and external reporting.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: - RHIT, RHIA and knowledge of regulatory requirements preferred.
