Hiring Department:
University of Missouri Mail Services provides mailing, and shipping solutions to support the needs of students, faculty, staff, and departments across campus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, process, and deliver incoming mail to designated campus buildings according to established routes and schedules.
- Prepare outgoing mail, including metering, packaging, and proper documentation.
- Operate small- to medium-sized delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Use portable electronic scanners to track packages and deliveries.
- Load and unload materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other dock equipment.
- Obtain authorized signatures for delivered or received items as required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and perform routine clerical and filing duties.
- Assist with additional departmental operations during fluctuating workloads, including mail metering and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to work professionally and courteously with co-workers, faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with the MU campus is helpful but not required
Part-time: 7:30 am to 12pm, Monday – Friday
* High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
* Two years in university mail facility in the sorting and delivering of mail or equivalent experience.
* A valid Missouri driver’s license.
Preferred Skills:
- Positive, “can-do” attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn departmental software and scanning tools.
Salary Range: $18.00 – $19.00 hourly
Grade: GGS-D
