Volkert is seeking an experienced Real Estate Specialist to support Right of Way acquisition efforts across our Gulf Region, based in Birmingham, AL. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering infrastructure projects that positively impact communities throughout Alabama.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage and coordinate Right of Way acquisition projects from initiation through closeout
- Review title commitments, plats, and plans to support acquisition strategy
- Perform QA/QC functions to ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements
- Serve as a liaison between property owners and project stakeholders
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and landowners
- Prepare documentation and reports using Microsoft Office tools
What you need to have:
- experience in real estate, land acquisition, or Right of Way services
- Ability to read and interpret title commitments and ROW plats/plans
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to obtain an Alabama Notary license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
Bonus points if you have:
- Alabama Real Estate Salesperson License
- Experience supporting public infrastructure or DOT-related projects
- Working knowledge of acquisition compliance requirements
