Overview

The Senior Global Employment Counsel provides advanced legal support on global employment law matters serving as a key advisor to HR business leaders and executives across the Company. This role interprets and applies global employment and labor laws manages highrisk matters guides compliance programs supports global mobility and workforce initiatives and ensures the Company’s employment practices align with legal and regulatory obligations worldwide.

This position serves as a legal thought leader within the employment specialty developing and refining strategies practices and frameworks that minimize risk and support the Company’s business and peoplerelated priorities. The role also contributes to departmental capabilitybuilding through oversight of legal work delegation coaching of other attorneys and development of bestpractice resources. The Senior Global Employment Counsel routinely partners with senior leadership HR leadership and crossfunctional stakeholders and must clearly and effectively translate complex legal issues into practical businessoriented guidance.


Responsibilities

    Provide advanced legal advice and strategic guidance on global employment matters including hiring performance management investigations employee relations compensation and benefits separations global mobility reorganizations workforce transitions and compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Serve as the primary legal advisor for complex or highrisk global employment matters requiring specialized expertise or sensitive handling.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the Company’s global workforce organizational structure operational needs and employment practices.
  • Develop refine and implement global employment policies templates playbooks and guidance documents to ensure operational consistency and legal compliance.
  • Partner with internal HR leadership and crossfunctional teams to guide workforce strategies support organizational changes and ensure legal considerations are integrated into business planning.
  • Manage relationships with outside counsel on global employment matters including scope definition work product oversight and budget management (subject to General Counsel approval).
  • Maintain oversight of employmentrelated contracts or agreements and partner with contract administrators on review and alignment of such documents.
  • Delegate and supervise global employment matters assigned to other attorneys and provide coaching feedback and bestpractice guidance for professional development.
  • Monitor global legal and regulatory developments assess business impact and guide updates to internal processes and policies.
  • Lead or support crossfunctional initiatives related to employment compliance risk management and workforce strategy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Counsel.


Basic Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent) and active law license in Ohio or another applicable jurisdiction.
  • Preferred: 10+ years of relevant global employment law experience or 5-10+ years including at least 4 years as an attorney at the Company.
  • Demonstrated expertise and specialized knowledge in global employment and labor law.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex issues exercise sound judgment and develop pragmatic businessaligned legal solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to influence and communicate across all organizational levels including executives.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear actionable guidance.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing sensitive or highimpact matters.
  • Attention to detail and effective administrative organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications particularly Word and Excel.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the primary duties of the role.

Based on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $156,076 to $202,900 and eligible for benefits
