What We DoFirst American Title’s New York Commercial team is seeking a Senior Paralegal to support sophisticated, high-value real estate transactions across New York and nationwide.
This role sits at the center of complex commercial deals – including institutional acquisitions, financings, refinances, and multi-state portfolio transactions. You will work directly with seasoned underwriters, attorneys, and commercial real estate professionals to drive transactions from commitment through policy with precision and efficiency.
We are looking for a professional who understands the pace and expectations of the New York market and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-level work on transactions where details matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support complex commercial closings, including multi-site and high-liability transactions
  • Review and analyze closing documents and deal structures
  • Conduct and evaluate title searches; review legal descriptions for accuracy
  • Prepare title commitments, pro formas, and related documentation
  • Review surveys and identify potential title exceptions
  • Partner with underwriters to resolve title issues and facilitate seamless closings
  • Prepare and issue title policies, endorsements, and supplemental coverage

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial title, law firm, or related experience
  • Strong understanding of commercial deal documentation and closing practices
  • Ability to manage multiple high-value transactions simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Polished communication style suited for attorneys, institutional clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification preferred

Pay Range: $44.57 – $59.42 Hourly

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
