As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our downtown Denver office, we are seeking a Pledge to Diversity legal Summer Intern.
The Pledge to Diversity Legal Summer Intern will assist the Gates Legal Department on topics including but not limited to, commercial contracts, intellectual property, trademark, securities and governance, labor and employment, compliance, and litigation. The Legal Intern will also gain exposure on a variety of legal issues facing global organizations today.
Examples of assignments the Legal Intern will work on, under the supervision and direction of in-house attorneys include:
- Conduct legal research on a variety of topics, including commercial, intellectual property, trademark, employment, compliance, and regulatory issues.
- Assist in drafting, revising, and organizing commercial agreements, and related documents.
- Support attorneys in preparing training materials, presentations, and policy updates.
- Review and help update internal corporate policies and governance documents.
- Assist with drafting responses to correspondence, including regulatory inquiries and demand letters.
- Provide litigation support, document review, and file organization.
- Participate in meetings with internal business partners to understand legal considerations in operational decisionmaking.
- Assist with compliance and riskmanagement projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the Legal Department.
- Currently in the Pledge to Diversity Program;
- Currently enrolled in 1L;
- A demonstrated interest in transactional law, commercial litigation, employment law, and/or global compliance;
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

- Summer Full-Time
- Hourly Rate: $25.00 an hour
